Since October 2006, pet portrait artist Kimberly Kelly Santini has been painting one dog each workday. 

 

The project is documented with a newsgroup (see the Google box below for instructions on training your email to fetch the daily dog paintings), and this website, which includes links to the project's blog, including all of the daily pet portraits.
